Remember: to find a fraction of 1 amount  ( 1/5 ) you need to divide by the bottom number

1/5 of 55  = 55 ÷ 5 = 11

To do this with amounts more than 1 ( 3/5 for example) divide by the bottom number and multiply by the top

3/5 of 55 = 55 ÷ 5 = 11    then 11 x 3 = 33
