Sheets for this week

W/c 1/6

As we had an arithmetic sheets week before the holiday, next weeks maths is what we should have done on the w/c the 18th so the videos will be week 5 on the white rose website.

I will attach the sheets that accompany the videos for you to print out below this.

In school next week we will be printing off the following two weeks sheets off for you to collect from school and you will be informed of your collection time.

w/c 18th May

This week for maths, I have sent out arithmetic practise. If there are any methods you can't remember let me know.

methods

multiplying 2 fractions - times the numerators and time the denominators

multiplying a fraction and a whole-  you multiply the numerator by the whole  3/4 x 6 = 18/4 - you can then make the fraction into a mixed number by counting in the denominators = 4 2/4

dividing a fraction by a whole - multiply the whole by the denominator - 3/4 divide by 6 = 3/24 - can you simplify?

percentages - find 1 % by dividing by 100 and 10% by dividing by 10- if 34% times the answer of 1% by 4 and answer of 10% by 3 to get 30 and 4 % . Then add both answers together.

This weeks maths has been sent out via post. You can still visit White Rose for the videos to help you. There is also more practise for the area on the BBC website.
