We started of by asking different questions about this book and then we used role play to predict what we thought the answers might be.
We found out more about different types of nouns and grouped them.
We then used abstract nouns to write a postcard explaining what a wonderful day we had with our dad.
We then used a range of conjunctions to extend our sentences when writing about the story.
We then created out own inventions for flying and wrote up some instructions for them
We then wrote a letter as if we were Father to our son trying to put in lots of the aspects we had been learning about.
We finally wrote our own sequel to the story.
