Claude Monet

We know that Claude Monet is a famous artist from France. We looked at some of his famous paintings and we focussed on the painting, 'The Magpie' when exploring winter scenes. We created some of our own winter scene paintings.

We looked closely at the painting, 'The Magpie' by Monet. We are developing our observational skills and are adding improving detail to our work. We used different sized brushes when painting. We know to use a thicker brush for larger areas and a thinner brush for the finer detail. We spoke about the painting and discussed the things that we could see.
