As part of our mystery and truth topic in English, we will be reading the text 'Curiosity' by Markus Motum. We will explore the themes of exploration and discovery and what it means to be curious. We will follow the journey of the NASA rover Curiosity as it makes its way to Mars and write labels to explain its features. We will also write a short news report to be broadcast to Times Square. Finally, we will design a new rover and write an expanded explanation to propose it as the future of NASA exploration.

After watching this video clip of the Solar System, we used the 'Talk to the Hand' activity to explore the question- What are you curious about?
We then designed our own Mars rovers and created expanded explanations to describe how they work.
