If we can dream it ... we can do it!

This week in our French lesson, we've used our knowledge of 2D shapes in French to create a piece of artwork in the style of the famous French artist - Henri Matisse.

This week in French, Year 5 have been creating their own Easter calligrams. They followed instructions entirely in French and then wrote sentences to create a visual image. Joyeuses Pâcques à tous!

Vive le vent d'hiver (chanson de Noël pour petits avec paroles)

🎄 Chante la comptine de Noël "Vive le vent d'hiver" en suivant les paroles avec nous ! 🎵 Plus de chants de fêtes et d'histoires de noël en musique pour l'éve...

Try to learn the song by heart. Don't forget you can slow the speed down in the video settings and we will be singing at 0.75 speed.

Over the last few weeks, year 5 children have been learning to name different body parts in French. They've learnt songs such as 'head, shoulders, knees and toes' and 'Little John dances' in French and can now decide whether a noun is masculine, feminine, singular or plural. Today we started to learn how to make our adjectives agree with the nouns that they describe, and did so through the story Va-t-en Grand Monstre Vert! Check out Joshua's very own monster and amazing description! C'était incroyable!

Va-t-en Grand Monstre Vert!

In French, we've been learning all about the world famous Tour de France. We can now give our opinions on cycling and justifying them with a range of reasons, French. C'était super!
