  • 10th March Update - Including updated Strike Information

    Fri 10 Mar 2023

    Dear Parents and Carers,                                                                                         1

    SNOW and STRIKE DAYS

    SNOW Day 10th March 2023

Thank you to all the parents who brought their children to school today.  As a Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body we feel it is important to offer educational provision and a warm lunch whenever it is safe for us all to travel to school.  We delayed our opening time today to allow the roads to clear of snow and the school site to be made safe.  An early finish allows everyone to get home safely before any potential freezing temperatures at the end of the day.

    STRIKE Days 15th and 16th March 2023

So far Ladywood has been unaffected by the Teachers’ Industrial Action however we will experience some disruption on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March.  Please see the updated information below for your child(rens) class and if anyone has any queries and questions please contact us for clarification.  We apologies in advance for any inconvenience the disruptions will cause individual families.

    • Early Years Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 will be open as usual.

    • Year 3 will be now be closed on Wednesday morning only.  Pupils will need to arrive for the afternoon session on Wednesday and can attend school from 12noon in order to receive their school lunch.  Lunches will need to be ordered via School Gateway in advance.  Thursday will be a normal day for Year 3.

    • Year 4 and Year 5 will be closed on both Wednesday and Thursday.  If your child receives free school meals you can pre-order a school packed lunch on both of these day using School Gateway.  Packed lunches will need to be collected from school.

    • Year 6 will be open on both days.

The School Newsletter has been delayed today but will be available at the beginning of next week.  Have a lovely weekend everyone.

    Yours sincerely,

    Mrs CL Grainger-Roystone

    Headteacher
