We answered questions based on the story.
We investigated some unknown vocabulary.
We write descriptions of what we thought each firework looked like and made up our own.
We used our reading around a word skills and also a dictionary to find some unknown words.
We also used thesauruses to find different synonymous.
We answered a range of retrieval and inference questions about the text.
We read around words to figure out what they meant.
