Whole Class Reading

To develop the children's reading skills, we do a whole class reading session every morning. Every child reads the same text but may have different questioning or support if needed. The children read different text types and we read in a range of ways: choral reading, echo reading, paired reading etc. We teach the comprehension skills children need to understand what they are reading through use the reading VIPERS.
