Living in the Wider World

During the autumn term in Personal Development, we will explore the topic of 'Living in the Wider World'. We will explore rights and responsibilities by looking at rules and laws, anti-social behaviour and bullying. We will then look at caring for the environment, respecting ourselves and making decisions.

Here are some of our anti-bulling posters that we created during anti-bullying week.

We learnt about the different kinds of responsibilities, rights and duties at home, school, in the community and towards the environment. We then recorded our shared responsibilities in the classroom. 

Next, we looked at how to resolve disputes and conflict through negotiation and conflict. We created our own wheel of choice to support with this.

We then looked at the importance of being honest, not stealing and consent. We discussed these in groups and then recorded our ideas in our books.
