  • Booster sessions starting Wednesday 21st April

    Tue 13 Apr 2021

    Dear Parent/Carer,

Booster Sessions (Year 1 to Year 6)

Before Easter the children had a period of 3 weeks in which to settle back into school, to enjoy spending time with their friends and to get used to being back in school and following the daily routines again. Their teachers have also now been able to assess each child's progress and it is inevitable that there are some gaps in the children's learning. To address these gaps and to support our recovery from the impacts of lockdown, we will be re-starting the booster sessions which proved very successful and popular during the Autumn term.

These booster sessions will run in the same way as they did in the Autumn term, on WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS starting from Wednesday 21st April 2021. Each session will run for 30 minutes before your child's normal school start time on these days:

The times highlighted are our earlier booster session start times, please ensure that your child attends regularly to benefit from these targeted sessions. It is essential that children are ready to go into school at the exact start time; late comers will have to wait for the normal start time so that booster lessons are not interrupted.

If your child doesn't attend these sessions, they should arrive for their normal start time and staff will collect the children at the appropriate time.

    Yours sincerely,

    Mrs Clare Grainger-Roystone

    Headteacher

  • SCHOOL CLOSURE FRIDAY 15TH JANUARY

    Thu 14 Jan 2021
Dear Parents, school will unfortunately be CLOSED tomorrow Friday 15th January for all pupils. We have taken this difficult decision on the grounds of the health and safety of staff and pupils and due to continued snowfall, expected sub zero temperatures, difficult travel conditions, our current reliance on the external provision of meals and maintaining site safety. Online learning is available for all children in Reception to Year 6 but please make time to enjoy the snow too if you can!! :) Stay safe everyone, we will see you on Monday.
  • Increasing data allowances on mobile devices to support home learning

    Thu 07 Jan 2021
In addition to the Vodafone SIM cards we notified parents about yesterday, we may also be able to request mobile data increases for you on your existing contracts. If your child is learning at home and you would benefit from this and would like to know more, please contact school with details of your mobile network provider e.g. EE, the number of the mobile device concerned, the name of the account holder and whether you have a pay monthly or pay as you go contract. The offer is available to Three, Smarty, Virgin, EE, Tesco and Sky mobile customers at the moment.
  • Vodafone Mobile Broadband SIM cards

    Wed 06 Jan 2021
The school has been allocated a number of Vodafone SIM cards which provide 30GB data for 90 days, these should fit all types of device. If you have any concerns about mobile broadband access to support home learning and would find this helpful please contact us.
